Important: The Wise County Sheriff's Posse is a civilian, nonprofit corporation that supports law enforcement. It is not a law enforcement agency, and membership does not bestow law enforcement status of any kind. It is a criminal offence in Texas to impersonate a peace officer. Any member who claims or implies law enforcement authority will be immediately dismissed.
